Baltimore Ravens rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson set an NFL record in his two previous games. The 21-year-old QB rushed for 71 yards in their 34-17 over the Oakland Raiders to bring his total to 190 in that span.

Known as a dual-threat quarterback, Jackson was taken in the first round of this year's draft. He is expected to take the reigns from Joe Flacco who have passed for the Ravens since 2008.

His speed has outshined his passing skills so far. He has started two games, winning both of them and tossed two TDs compared to three interceptions.

Jackson was primarily used in rushing plays and delivered 329 yards and reached the end zone twice.

A handful of rushing quarterbacks currently start in the NFL as of now. Russel Wilson, Cam Newton, and Marcus Mariota have put yards via air and land to fuel their team's offenses in this new age of the league where QBs play expanded roles.

The Ravens are currently sixth in the AFC because of their win streak. Both of those wins came with Jackson starting under center which is a good sign for the youngster.

John Harbaugh is expected to part ways with the Ravens at the end of the season. A new era would certainly take place in Baltimore with a new head coach and Jackson as the starter next season.

His performance definitely showed flashes of his brilliance on the field. But Jackson needs to be consistent to be able to lead his team to the playoffs and prove that he is a worthy pick.
