There have been a lot of rumors the last few weeks that John Harbaugh could be relieved of his duties as Baltimore Ravens head coach after this season is completed. The Ravens got off to a fast start to the season but they have been really struggling losing their last three games and currently sitting with a 4-5 record. Making the playoffs is going to be an uphill battle and even just making it to the playoffs might not be enough to save his job.

In Jay Glazer's weekly mailbag for The Athletic, he was asked about some possible replacements for Harbaugh and Glazer thinks it will be a younger coach with an offensive background.

“As far as the options out there, usually you look for offensive coaches who can mold your young QB and you want to pluck from staffs that have good offensive outputs. Right now, John DeFilippo, the offensive coordinator for the Vikings, will start getting some love and Matt LaFleur, the OC with the Tennessee Titans, has coached under Kyle Shanahan and Sean McVay. There aren’t a ton of other offensive candidates out there, and I think more and more head coaches are keeping the playcalling than previously.”

Glazer also said it's really unclear how attractive the Ravens job will be and a lot probably depends on how a coach feels about Lamar Jackson. If Jackson does start the end of this year and lights it up, it will probably make this a more attractive job that some big name candidates want.
