A whole lot of people have been questioning how the Washington Redskins have handled their quarterback situation.

The Redskins drafted Ohio State's Dwayne Haskins in the first round back in April, but he has not started a single game for the club thus far, only relieving Case Keenum twice (and posting poor results).

This past Thursday, Keenum was forced to exit his team's loss to the Minnesota Vikings in the second quarter due to a concussion. Haskins took the reins under center the rest of the way, completing three of his five passes for 33 yards and an interception.

Interim head coach Bill Callahan has stated that Keenum will remain the starter so long as he is healthy, and on Friday, he hinted that Haskins may be sitting on the bench the rest of the year:

“I think he needs a little bit more work,” Callahan said of the rookie, according to Matt Weyrich of NBC Sports Washington. “I think time is invaluable where he can sit back and learn from quarterbacks like Case and Colt [McCoy] as well as players like [QB] Alex [Smith] who is around the building. It is a fine line. We are trying to win games still.”

Cue eye rolls from fans and media members alike.

The Redskins are just 1-7 on the season, so winning games is not something they have been doing, and it's almost surely not something they will be doing regularly over the course of their final eight contests.

So, why not give Haskins a shot again?
