New Washington Redskins edge rusher Chase Young filed for a trademark back in February of 2020 in an attempt to own the license to the phrase “Terrorize the Moment,” via Redskins Wire.

Young, 21, the second overall selection in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Redskins, leaves the Ohio State Buckeyes after racking up very impressive college stats. The newest member of Washington's defense is ready to build his brand following 27 sacks accrued in his final two seasons in Columbus, Ohio. Young was a demon to opposing offenses, chasing down quarterbacks and bringing them back to earth. In 12 games his junior year, Young recorded 46 total tackles, 21 for losses, and 16.5 sacks alone.

Young's potential to turn the Redskins' defense into a powerhouse was too potent to pass up at No. 2 last Thursday, and the D.C. franchise saw the former Buckeye as a better fit than some of the top offensive tackles taken in the first round or even college quarterbacks Tua Tagovailoa and Justin Herbert after rumors spread about the club's opinion of rising sophomore signal-caller (and fellow Ohio State alum) Dwayne Haskins.

Ultimately the Redskins picked Young, the defensive end who will plug into that side of the ball from day one.

According to TMZ, Young plans to use his new “Terrorize the Moment” phrase on merchandise since his amateur days are over. Hats, hoodies, jackets, pants, and more are described as determined to feature the motto for the 6-foot-5, 265-pound menace on the gridiron and new Redskins pass rusher.
