The Washington Redskins are 0-3, coming off of an ugly “Monday Night Football” loss and haven't shown many signs of things getting better. As is the nature of the NFL, the head coach, Jay Gruden, is the man that should be feeling the heat on his seat. His job could be should be in jeopardy.

That's only magnetized that in his first five years of coaching in Washington, Gruden has made the playoffs one — which ended in defeat. He boasts a 35-44-1 record, despite having considerable amounts of talent come through the door. He should feel like his job is at stake, via Pro Football Talk.

“No. I haven’t felt like that. But who knows?” Gruden said in a Tuesday conference call. “I’m just trying to concentrate on the Giants right now, put our best foot forward, learn from our mistakes here and try to get better. That’s all we’re trying to do here as a staff and go from there.”

Gruden mentioned that the three teams he's lost to were playoff teams in 2018; the Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, and Chicago Bears. It's feasible that Washington improves mightily from their slow start, as he said: “We haven't played out best ball yet, and I anticipate we're going to better.”

Gruden's team faces the New York Giants in Week 4, who are starting their promising rookie quarterback, Daniel Jones. Washington, on the other hand, remains adamant they'll play Case Keenum then, who gave up five turnovers in Monday night's loss. If only a promising No. 15 overall rookie quarterback was waiting in the wings to potentially save Gruden's job.
