Washington Redskins wide receiver Josh Doctson will travel with the team ahead of Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, despite currently being in the NFL's concussion protocol.

Doctson is officially listed as questionable for the matchup after suffering a concussion in the 40-16 loss to the New York Giants in Week 14.

However, it does sound like he'll be making the trip to Jacksonville, according to ESPN's John Keim.

At this point, the Redskins need all the offensive help they can get if they want to stay in the NFC playoff picture. Jay Gruden will have his fourth quarterback of the season under center this weekend when Josh Johnson gets the start, and injuries have played a huge role in Washington's slide.

After starting 6-3 overall, Gruden's squad is now in the middle of a four-game losing streak while having injury issues in several key areas.

But there's no doubt that Doctson can play a significant role in the offense when healthy, as the third-year pro has 39 receptions for 469 yards and two touchdowns this season.

However, with all the changes at quarterback due to season-ending injuries for both Alex Smith and Colt McCoy, it's put the Redskins in a challenging spot ahead of a must-win game against the Jaguars.

The schedule doesn't get much easier the rest of the way, with Washington traveling to take on the Tennessee Titans in Week 16 before returning home for a clash with the Philadelphia Eagles to wrap up the regular season.

So, if the playoffs are the goal, beating Jacksonville is a must for Doctson and company.
