The Washington Redskins made a splash with the lucrative signing of safety Landon Collins this offseason. It seems he has bigger goals thank getting back at his former team in the New York Giants.

Collins is starting fresh after a prosing tenure in New York. According to Darryl Slater of NJ Advance Media, he is focused on emerging into a bonafide Hall of Famer.

“I know I can be a Hall of Famer,” Collins said. “That’s my ultimate goal. That’s the goal I have stamped on my wall.”

It is encouraging to see that Collins has high hopes for the remainder of his career. Although he still has a long way to go before even being considered, it is safe to say that he is well on his way.

The Giants selected Collins in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft and it did not take him long to establish himself as one of the most promising, young defensive players in the league. He quickly emerged as a stabilizing factor over the top in New York en route to three consecutive Pro Bowl seasons while being named a first-team All-Pro in 2016.

It is clear that Collins is hoping to kick things up a notch with his new team. He has already emerged as a leader in the secondary heading into the 2019 NFL season. Although the 25-year-old is not focused on making the Giants regret their decision, enjoying a Hall of Fame career with an NFC East rival will do just that.
