The former Houston Rockets coach could be taking his talents to Memphis.

J.B. Bickerstaff, who took over as Rockets head coach early in the season after the team fired Kevin McHale, is in talks with the Memphis Grizzlies to join their coaching staff:

Bickerstaff went 37-34 as the interim head coach in Houston. He managed to barely get the Rockets into the postseason, where they were able to beat the 73-9 Golden State Warriors only one game in the first round before being eliminated in five games.

The Grizzlies are going through a coach staff overhaul, as they recently hired former Miami Heat assistant David Fizdale as their new head coach. Bickerstaff withdrew his name from the Rockets' head coaching search when it became abundantly clear that he had a lot of interest from around the league to be a lead assistant.

It would appear the Grizzlies will likely use Bickerstaff in that capacity as they enter a new era in their franchise.
