Houston Rockets shooting guard Eric Gordon’s hot start to the season just keeps on getting better and better. And on Wednesday night, his hot hands came through again, burning the Philadelphia 76ers for 29 points on the strength of five 3-pointers, that included this game-winning three at the buzzer, allowing the Rockets to escape with a 105-104 victory.

Prior to his shot, Rockets superstar James Harden did an excellent job of drawing Joel Embiid’s attention to give Gordon enough space to launch the long-distance attempt.

Eric Gordon entered the ballgame averaging 23.5 points and while he hasn’t been completely efficient on offense with a 41.4 percent shooting from the field in the first four games of the season, he nonetheless has knocked down 15 3-pointers in the last four contests.

Hopefully for the 4-1 Rockets, Gordon’s hands will still be smoking when they travel to North Carolina this Friday for a road game against the Charlotte Hornets.
