Los Angeles Clippers superstar Kawhi Leonard appears to be on his way out of the team in the coming offseason, with the front office looking to blow up the entire squad following what turned out to be a highly disappointing campaign. That is if you believe one out of the 20 unnamed sports agents that were recently surveyed by The Athletic.

It would be safe to assume that these 20 anonymous agents have a vast knowledge of the goings-on inside the league. According to one of them, he's come across a bit of information pertaining to L.A. completely revamping their roster in the offseason, with Leonard featuring as a central trading piece:

“I heard (the Clippers are) going to break that roster up,” said the agent.

While this is not completely impossible, let's just say that this is highly improbable. Leonard barely had a full season with the Clippers last term, so for the front office to pull the plug on this experiment this early just doesn't make much sense.

The fact that they parted ways with long-time head coach Doc Rivers might also be an indication of the team opting to move forward with Leonard at the helm. Rivers was unable to bring out the best from the two-time Finals MVP, so perhaps they're looking for a new coach that could do just that.

Needless to say, this report should be treated as nothing more than what it is — a seemingly unfounded rumor.
