The New Orleans Saints will have to wait for at least another for the return to action of star running back Alvin Kamara. According to a report from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Kamara, along with some of his teammates, has been ruled out of Week 13's Thursday Night Football game between the Saints and the Dallas Cowboys at Caesars Superdome.

The #Saints won’t have star RB Alvin Kamara (knee), OT Ryan Ramczyk (knee) or OT Terron Armstead (knee) for tonight vs. #Cowboys, sources tell me and@SlaterNFL. They are out. Short-handed again.

Kamara has not played since Week 9's home loss to the Atlanta Falcons. His absence has been greatly felt by the Saints, who have not won a game in four weeks.  If anything, at least the Saints seem to have Mark Ingram back. The former Heisman Trophy winner Ingram also missed Week 12's 31-6 loss at the Superdome to the Buffalo Bills due to a knee issue but has shed the questionable tag ahead of the showdown with the Cowboys.

Despite not having played for weeks, Kamara remains as the Saints' top rusher this season. He has 530 rushing yards to go with three rushing scores. But it's not just his work on the ground that New Orleans has been missing. Kamara is also a crucial piece of the team's passing attack. He's even got more touchdown catches (4) than rushing touchdowns.
