The New Orleans Saints star cornerback Marshon Lattimore made headlines back in March after being arrested after a traffic stop. He was found with a loaded gun hidden in his waistband and was arrested as the gun was allegedly stolen, per CBS News.

Recently, bodycam footage of the incident has been released, showing the entire arrest that took place on March 26th. The footage is provided by CBS News, showing the interaction between Marshon Lattimore and the Cleveland Police Department.

Aside from the fact that the gun Lattimore had tucked away into his waistband was allegedly stolen, he was also arrested for his failure to make it known he had said gun.

“Lattimore was also arrested for failing to notify the officers about the gun even though he did tell them that he had a loaded gun in his waistband after they asked.”

According to Ohio law, a person has to inform police officers about their gun before the police ask anything about it. If a person fails to do so, it can become an arrestable offense. However, after the Police Officers found out they are dealing with Marshon Lattimore, they seem to ease their approach on the entire situation. They offer some advice for the young man, according to CBS News, as possibly messing up his NFL career for dumb mistakes would be something he would regret down the road.

” ‘The amount of stuff going for you, bro. The amount of stuff you got going for you. How old are you?' asked one officer. '24,' responds Lattimore. '24 and it's not you are a *expletive* chump out there bro,' said the officer. ‘I know. I am not, you feel me?' said Lattimore.”

According to CBS News, “Lattimore could face up to 18 months in prison, a fine of as much as $5,000 or both.”
