Amidst a turbulent season, the New Orleans Saints had a breath of fresh air against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Defensive end Cameron Jordan, who's been a long-time member of the team, reached a milestone only the best rushers have ever achieved, and he did it against one of the best quarterbacks of all time, Tom Brady.

Reaching 100 sacks is a rare feat only achieved by the best defensive talents in the game. Players like Lawrence Taylor, Von Miller, and Saints legend Rickey Johnson are among the 37 players who reached that impressive milestone. This Sunday, Jordan reached that same echelon, destroying an offensive line that has protected Brady this season.

Despite an up-and-down season, the Saints are still alive and well in the playoff hunt. Entering their tilt against the Buccaneers, the Saints are 6-7 and fighting for a wild-card spot in the NFC. A win over their Division rivals would greatly help their chances of making it to the postseason, despite massive injuries to their lineup (including Jordan, who missed time along with Mark Ingram due to COVID).

Luckily for the Saints, though, they have a solid anchor in Jordan to hold their defensive line. With Alvin Kamara and other key pieces returning for the home stretch, fans are hoping that this team can gain some semblance of form. Maybe this epic milestone is the motivation and push they need to go on a late-season run to make the playoffs.
