Jameis Winston is one of the latest NFL stars to join the Black Lives Matter movement. The newly acquired backup QB of the New Orleans Saints took it to the streets on Saturday to join a protest in support of the global fight against racism and social justice.

The 26-year old then followed it up with a social media post urging everyone to take action and start a change to make the world a better place. He made the call alongside a photo of him and his 2-year old son joining the protest. Strong move from the Saints QB.

Jameis Winston is just one of the many NFL athletes taking action and speaking up — both in social media and on the streets. And as the voices become louder, things are slowly but surely changing for the better.

Following a player-led video questioning the NFL's initial and seemingly tone-deaf statement regarding the killing of George Floyd, league commissioner Roger Goodell came out with a video to basically reiterate what the players wanted him and the league to say.

Moreover, the NFL announced last week that they are building a $250 million fund over the course of 10 years to combat systemic racism. They also promised to continue to collaborate with members of the organization, especially its players, to come up with more initiatives and inspire change as the battle against racism continues.

Hopefully, the Saints, Jameis Winston and more NFL players join forces to truly make a difference in a league that has long avoided the issue before this year.
