There was a lot of doubt surrounding the New Orleans Saints ahead of their big matchup against the Seattle Seahawks with Drew Brees on the sideline. However, they defied the odds and came out as 27-33 winners.

The team was elated after a spirited performance from the team, but Teddy Bridgewater was emotional after the game. In the post-game press conference, he shared with the press why the win meant so much to him.

“I was just thinking about the process from the time I was injured up until now. I'm just thinking about all of the ones who believed in me. Just being back on this stage and showing how faithful God is, all my emotions are just running at the same time.”

It's hard for Bridgewater not to feel this way. After the horrible knee injury he suffered in 2016, being given the chance to play snaps for the Saints was a blessing for him.

He also didn't hold back on praising Michael Thomas. He said that Thomas is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL and that they would win as long as they give him the football.

Brees, who is out for a considerable amount of time, was also celebrating with his team. He may not be on the sidelines, but he knows how important the win was for Bridgewater and the team.

The Saints being their two-game run at home by first playing the Dallas Cowboys. It will be a tough contest for them as Dak Prescott and company overwhelmed the Miami Dolphins.

However, anything's possible for this Saints team. Now that Bridgewater regained his confidence in the football, he could very well create some fantastic plays in Week 4.
