After weeks of opening up games on slow starts, the Seattle Seahawks have now finally had their way in the first quarter.

After failing to pick up a first down on the opening drive of their Week 13 home matchup against the San Francisco 49ers, the Seahawks lined up in punt formation on fourth down. With the 49ers and much of Lumen Field expecting to see Michael Dickson punt the football away, the Seahawks had other plans in mind.

Seahawks running back Travis Homer fooled the 49ers as he received the direct snap and patrolled on by for a 73-yard rushing touchdown.

This is not bad for Homer’s first touchdown of the season.

At this point in the year, the Seahawks do not have much to lose. They came into Week 13 with a lowly 3-8 record, as their aspirations at a wild-card berth in the NFC took a major blow following last week’s road loss to the Washington Football Team. Thus, in hindsight, one sure can not scratch their heads at Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll's call to opt for a play that many other coaches in the league would not have considered going with at this early point in the game.

The Seahawks are currently aiming to snap their three-game losing streak.
