Former college wide-receiver teammates from Ole Miss in the Tennessee Titans' AJ Brown and Seattle Seahawks' DK Metcalf will not have the chance to go toe-to-toe in Super Bowl LIV.

Metcalf and the Seahawks were eliminated from the NFL's postseason this past weekend by the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Divisional Round while the Titans and Brown advanced past the AFC's first seed Baltimore Ravens for a spot in the conference championship.

Brown and Metcalf, both 22 years old, spent three seasons together on the Rebels' football program in Oxford, Mississippi. In that time they grew close and have rooted for one another from afar.

With the second-round selection DK Metcalf's rookie season in the books following Seattle's loss in Green Bay on Sunday, Brown had some nice words to share on social media about the Seahawks wideout.

“Love you so much brother,” Brown shared on Twitter on Monday morning. “The sky is not the limits [sic] for you, it's way beyond that.”

Metcalf had an incredible performance in the Seahawks' wild card win over the Philadelphia Eagles on the road last week, recording seven receptions for 160 yards and scoring a touchdown. On Sunday against the Packers Metcalf only tallied four catches for 59 receiving yards.

Brown, meanwhile, has not been productive for the Titans in their improbable postseason run; he has 13 receiving yards on two catches.

Brown and Metcalf, in their junior seasons at Ole Miss, combined to total nearly 1,900 receiving yards for the Rebels, jointly scoring eleven touchdowns for the SEC program.

Both were selected in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, with the Titans taking Brown thirteen picks ahead of his college teammate Metcalf.
