When the Seattle Seahawks signed Brandon Marshall there were some questions if he would even make the 53 man roster. All training camp it seems like the question has been answered as coaches continue to praise what he is doing on the field. Even though Marshall is trying to get up to 100 percent with the Seahawks offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer has been really impressed with what he has seen.

“It’s been really good,” offensive coordinator Brian Schottenhiemer said via Pro Football Talk. “I mean, he had a big play today. It’s just, there’s some timing stuff still. He and Russ (Wilson) are working through it. That’s a big part of him being out there but I love seeing him out there. He’s been over with us during the quarterback individual stuff, which is great. They’re talking all the time, but yes. Very encouraged.”

Since Pete Carroll came to the great northwest the Seahawks haven't had a big target outside like they do now with Marshall. Jimmy Graham has moved on and the Seahawks need to find someone to replace his production, especially in the red zone. Marshall has been a big red zone target throughout his career and the hope is that will be his main area of production this year.

Marshall and Russell Wilson have spent a lot of time working together in the red zone and during meetings the two always seem to be together.

“In the meetings, when we’re watching film, see him kind of talking and saying, ‘hey, what are you thinking here or what would you do here? What could I possibly give you here?’ They’re kind of always together,” Schottenheimer said.

If these two can create a strong chemistry, the ceiling of this Seahawks offense in need of another reliable receiver gets raised considerably.
