It's no secret Colin Kaepernick is still looking for a chance to play in the NFL, despite last suiting up in 2016. He's working tirelessly every single day for that call, but it hasn't come. Kap actually did a workout recently with a couple of Seattle Seahawks players and there were even rumors they were potentially interested in him. However, that ship has evidently sailed, with Pete Carroll addressing it a few weeks back.

Nevertheless, Kaepernick sent the Seahawks a strong message recently in his interview with Brandon Marshall's I Am An Athlete Podcast, essentially saying the organization should give him an opportunity because they don't have a clear starting QB right now.

Via PFT:

“No team’s brought me in for a workout,” Kaepernick said. “No team has brought me in for an opportunity. I had the one meeting with Seattle in 2017. And out of that, Pete Carroll said, ‘Hey, he’s a starter, we have a starter.’ And things moved on from there. But they don’t have a starter right now.”

It's actually insane that essentially no team has even explored the idea of signing Kaepernick. Nonetheless, the quarterback isn't giving up his dreams. The Seahawks could definitely use another signal-caller in the QB room though, with Drew Lock expected to be the starter right now.

Kap also spoke about the bias towards him because of his stance against racism and police brutality, but the veteran made it clear that the NFL needs to put the past in the past and just give him a chance to play. If he doesn't impress, then so be it.

“If you’re talking about the playing side, come in [and] let me compete. You can evaluate me from there. The NFL’s supposed to be a meritocracy. Come in, let me compete. If I’m not good enough, get rid of me. But let me come in and show you.”

The Seahawks should make a move.
