Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin returned to practice Thursday on a limited basis, Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times reports.

Baldwin missed the Seahawks’ Week 14 win against the Minnesota Vikings due to a hip injury which flared up in Week 13 against the San Francisco 49ers. He missed Wednesday’s practice and coach Pete Carroll described him as day-to-day.

The Seahawks certainly missed Baldwin last Monday night. The Seahawks passing game recorded just 72 yards against the Vikings. Tyler Lockett was responsible for 42 of those 72 yards, as well as five of the 10 receptions.

“You always want Doug in because he’s one of the best receivers in the game,” quarterback Russell Wilson said Thursday. “When unfortunately he can’t go in the game because he’s dinged up or whatever, it’s always different just because we’ve thrown so many touchdowns together and thrown so many completions, and done some of these great things together and it’s always been fun having him out there because we have that look where when he knows something, I know something and we have to go after somebody or whatever that may be.”

Baldwin’s return to practice should be a good sign that he can return for the Seahawks’ Week 15 matchup against the 49ers. Baldwin had two catches for 22 yards and a touchdown in the first meeting against the Niners as the Seahawks stormed to a 43-16 win.

The Seahawks can clinch a playoff berth if they can sweep the season series against the 49ers. Baldwin's presence in the lineup would definitely be a big boost for their chances of claiming that important victory.
