Seattle Seahawks offensive tackle Duane Brown seems to have had a change of heart and is not focused on his contract situation.

Brown held out the first six weeks of last season with the Houston Texans because he was hoping for a new contract. The Texans didn't give him the new contract and instead traded him to the Seattle Seahawks. When he was traded Seahawks General Manager John Schneider said he wanted Brown to finish his career with the team, but now entering the final year of the contract, he still doesn't have an extension.

Brown isn't concerned about that though and is just letting his agent handle all the contract negotiations while he focuses on football.

“My agent is handling that,” Brown said following practice via Curtis Crabtree of Pro Football Talk. “I trust that everything is going to happen in good time and when it’s supposed to. … This is the first time that I’ve been able to work with this group of guys in the offseason and I’m really cherishing it and enjoying it. It’s my 11th year I’m going into so I’m not concerned with that. I’m concerned with improving as a player, helping my group up front improve and doing all I can for this team and everything else will work itself out.”

Unlike teammates Earl Thomas and Frank Clark, Brown has been at all the OTA's even though he is seeking a new contract, but is confident it will end up happening in time.

As the most accomplished player on the Seahawks offensive line, Brown, the four-time Pro Bowler, will have a pivotal part to play in a position group which has struggled mightily in recent years.
