Some really unfortunate reports coming out of the Seattle Seahawks National Football League franchise. Mike Garafolo of NFL Network is reporting that Kam Chancellor has been to multiple doctors for an examination of the neck injury he suffered last week against the Arizona Cardinals.

The aftermath of those visits? Kam Chancellor is done for the season.

Here is Garafolo on Good Morning Football on Saturday discussing the liklihood that the safety is going to be sidelined for the rest of the season due to a neck injury.

“(Seattle) had not ruled Kam Chancellor out for (Monday Night Football), but he will not play, according to multiple sources who know about his health status right now,” said Garafolo. “And it goes a little further than that. He's got a neck issue. He's been getting checked up. He's had multiple opinions and I'm told by those sources that Kam Chancellor … What's the word you want to use? Likely? Probable? Whatever you want to use. He is likely out for the rest of the season.”

There is some issue with the wording Garafolo uses there. If you want to nitpick, he seems to be hedging his own report a bit. He doesn't want to say “for sure” or anything. Just wants to point to it being more than likely.

Words are important and you have to choose them carefully … and all that jazz.

This would be a huge loss for the Seahawks. Chancellor happens to be one of the best players at his position in the entire National Football League.
