The Seattle Seahawks claimed Josh Gordon off of waivers on Friday, and Mychal Kendrick was more than excited about the move. When speaking to the media, Kendricks expressed his approval of the acquisition with just a few words.

Kendricks spent a short amount of time with Gordon when the veteran linebacker signed with the Cleveland Browns in 2018. Of course, Kendricks' tenure with the Browns didn't last long, and Gordon was traded from Cleveland not too long after Kendricks was released.

Of course, Gordon found himself being shipped to the New England Patriots in the early part of the 2018 season. Since then, the big-play wide receiver has won a Super Bowl ring, even though he wasn't on the field when New England defeated the Los Angeles Rams.

This season, Gordon played in six games with New England before a knee injury forced him to be sidelined beginning in Week 6. After missing two games and acquiring Mohamed Sanu via trade, the Patriots planned on placing the veteran wideout on injured reserve.

Instead, Gordon asked for his release from the team, and the Patriots fulfilled his request. As a result, Gordon had to go through the waiver process before he joined another team.

On Friday, 27 teams passed on submitting a claim on Gordon. In the end, Seattle wound up being the team to take a chance on the talented wide receiver.

Without a doubt, Kendricks isn't the only person in Seattle who is ecstatic to bring in a talent like Gordon. The one player who benefits from the addition of Gordon wears No. 3 for the Seahawks.
