The Seattle Seahawks finished their disappointing season with a big win over the division-rival Arizona Cardinals. But they still received bad news, as star cornerback Quandre Diggs suffered two different leg injuries and had to be carted off.

Diggs led Seattle in interceptions (recording five of them) and was third on the team in total tackles and was one of their two defensive Pro Bowlers, along with Bobby Wagner.

Fortunately, Diggs' injury won't keep him out for long. He said that he will be ready in time for training camp, explaining that his timetable to return isn't as long as it has been made out to be. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the Seahawks star is expected to be back fully by June.

Diggs' return is great news, though the Seahawks may not be a beneficiary. The two-time Pro Bowler is a free agent and could land a huge contract to play for a better team. They did fire their defensive coordinator, Ken Norton Jr., and shook up their defensive coaching tree. It's possible that Diggs wants to run it back with Seattle.

The Seahawks' future, though, relies squarely on their decision regarding Russell Wilson. If they decide to move him — which doesn't seem likely, though teams are still pursuing him — it will likely mean a long rebuild is underway. The 29-year-old most likely won't want to waste the rest of his prime years on a team out of playoff contention.
