The Seattle Seahawks had nothing to play for these past few weeks. They were eliminated from the playoffs but ended their season with two straight wins. Rashaad Penny made the most of the remainder of Seattle's season.

Penny, a 2018 first-round draft pick, had the best year of his short career. In the last five weeks of the season, he posted two games with over 130 rushing yards and two touchdowns. He ended the season with a career-high 190-yard effort on the ground and added a 62-yard touchdown run. In doing so, he matched team history.

In the Seahawks Week 18 win over the Arizona Cardinals, Penny joined Shaun Alexander in Seattle's history books with his third straight game rushing for 130 yards.

What is very surprising about this feat is the fact that Marshawn Lynch was never able to meet it. Beast Mode does have multiple streaks with 110 rushing yards in consecutive games his time with Seattle. But he never was able to do what Penny just did.

Penny, of course, wil likely never have the complete career that Lynch did. But his tremendous streak of games should bode well for his future with the team. Due to Chris Carson's neck injury, the Seahawks will need some insurance. Penny, at 25 years old, may have played himself into the Seahawks' near future.

Seahawks fans aren't the only ones happy with Penny's stellar play. Seattle's win clinched the NFC West title for the Los Angeles Rams. Their fans can thank the Norwalk, CA native for his help.
