The Seattle Seahawks are preparing to face the Atlanta Falcons. In doing so, quarterback Russell Wilson made a surprise appearance on the injury report on Wednesday with a knee injury. Though, despite being on the injury report, Wilson says that he is “ready to roll,” per Curtis Crabtree of Radio KJR and PFT.

Since being drafted by the Seahawks in 2012, Wilson has started in all 119 regular-season games that the team has played in. He's also started in all 13 playoff games that Seattle has been in since 2012.

The veteran signal-caller hasn't earned a feature on Seattle's injury report since last season. That came when Wilson had a hamstring injury leading up to the team's Week 6 contest against the Oakland Raiders.

In typical Wilson Ironman fashion, he played in all 65 offensive snaps in that game en route to a 27-3 victory over the Raiders in London. Therefore, there shouldn't be any concerns for the franchise quarterbacks as he enters Sunday's game against the Falcons.

This season, Wilson has made a valiant attempt at cementing his name as an early MVP candidate. The Seahawks quarterback is off to the best start in his career with 1,945 yards, 15 touchdowns and one interception in seven games.

However, he is coming off of his worst game of the season against the Baltimore Ravens. Wilson completed just 20 of his 41 attempts for 241 yards, one touchdown and an interception. Luckily for him, he is the next contestant who gets an opportunity to torch Atlanta's defense.

The Falcons have the 28th ranked pass defense and have allowed 274 yards per game. With that being said, barring a setback from his injury, Wilson is poised for a bounce-back game in Week 8.
