The Seattle Seahawks are signing pass rusher Bruce Irvin, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

This will mark Irvin's second stint with the Seahawks, as he was originally selected by Seattle with the 15th overall pick of the 2012 NFL Draft and spent the first four years of his career there.

Irvin spent the 2019 campaign with the Carolina Panthers, playing in 13 games and registering 36 tackles, 8.5 sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

The 32-year-old, who played his collegiate football at West Virginia, appeared in every contest during his rookie year with the Seahawks, logging 17 tackles, eight sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

The following year, Irvin recorded 40 tackles, a couple of sacks, an interception and a forced fumble and was part of a dominant Seattle defense that won a Super Bowl title.

He went to have a couple of nearly identical seasons in 2014 and 2015, posting 38 tackles in each year and amassing a total of 12 sacks between the two campaigns.

Following his first go-around with the Seahawks, Irvin joined the Oakland Raiders and proceeded to have the best year of his career at that time in 2016, racking up 57 tackles, seven sacks and six forced fumbles. He then had a similar season in 2017, finishing with 58 tackles, eight sacks and four forced fumbles.

Irvin began 2018 with the Raiders, but was waived in mid-November after tallying just six tackles and three sacks through his first eight games. He linked up with the Atlanta Falcons for the remainder of the season, where he posted 13 tackles and 3.5 sacks.
