Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett knows that he might have to take on multiple different roles this season and he is ready for whatever is thrown his way.

One of the big questions facing the Seahawks is who will play the slot with Doug Baldwin not on the team. Although Lockett has spent most of the time on the outside with the Seahawks, he has spent some time in the slot and is ready to go back there if that's what the team needs.

“I mean I’m just ready for whatever,” Lockett told reporters during OTAs in June via Seahawks Wire. “I played on the outside my first four years. I’ve been playing in the slot every now and then when we put Doug on the outside. So for me it’s all about just being able to further my game wherever I’m at. Wherever I’m at, it’s all about trying to get open or get other people open. And that’s what it’s all about.”

Last season, Lockett finished with just under 1,000 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns, but he knows there is more in his game. When asked what he wanted to improve on most, Lockett said he wants to be a master at everything.

It doesn't matter if it's inside, outside, in the backfield, or returning kicks and punts, he is going to do everything in his power to be the best at it.

“So I want to be able to master every single thing,” Lockett continued. “So whether it’s me on the outside, I’m going to get the biggest DB in the world, I want to make sure I maximize that opportunity. When I’m in the slot, maximize that opportunity. If they put me at running back and give me a sweep or something, I’ll make sure I do that. Special teams, do that.

The Seahawks still have high expectations for this season even without Baldwin, and if they want to reach those goals, Lockett is going to be a big key.
