There were some murmurs that the Seattle Seahawks could pursue Jamal Adams via trade nearly a month ago. However, those murmurs appear to be getting louder as the offseason continues. According to Jake Heaps of 710 ESPN Seattle, the Seahawks are “absolutely pursuing” Adams in a trade.

Heaps noted that he spoke to an executive in the league that believes the Seahawks are contenders for Adams:

“I actually had a conversation with a friend of mine who works in a front office on the other side of the country for an NFL team, and we were talking and he actually said, ‘So your Seahawks are really into Jamal Adams.'”

Ever since Adams requested a trade from the New York Jets, there's been nothing but speculation on where he could land. However, Heaps' source claimed that Seattle has been persistent in their pursuit for Adams.

“He said, yeah, the Seahawks are absolutely pursuing Jamal Adams … I think that trade conversations are heating up around Jamal Adams and that the Seahawks in particular are one of those teams that are continuing to pursue Jamal Adams.”

Seeing that Adams is a Texas native, most people believe he'll end up playing for the Dallas Cowboys. On the other hand, the Baltimore Ravens have also been labeled as favorites to acquire the All-Pro safety. With that in mind, the Seahawks seem to be keeping close tabs on Adams as the 2020 season approaches.
