The impending free-agent decision of former No. 1 overall pick Jadaveon Clowney will likely be one of the biggest impact moves of the offseason. Luckily for Seattle Seahawks fans, the 27-year-old pass rusher would be more than happy to return to the team per ESPN's Michael Silver.

“I did have a long talk with him after that game with the Vikings last year,” Silver said. “He told me how much he loves the culture and how much he loves being in Seattle and how he thinks it taught him how to be a professional in a way that he hadn’t been previously. So I believe, all things being equal, that he would love to stay with the Seahawks, so it’ll be interesting to see, given their cap situation, given his financial parameters, if that can work out again.”

After spending the first five seasons of his career as a Houston Texan, Clowney was dealt to the Seahawks in August in exchange for a third-round pick, linebacker Jacob Martin and former top-10 pick Barkevious Mingo.

Seattle was in desperate need of some help with a struggling pass rush and decided to bring in Clowney to try and revitalize their defense.

Like most of his career, Clowney's time in Seattle last season was a bit of a mixed bag. In 13 games and 11 starts, the three-time Pro Bowler 31 tackles, seven tackles for a loss but just three sacks. Clowney did force four fumbles and recovered two of them. On the other hand, the Seahawks defense ranked just 26th in the NFL in yards allowed per game, 22nd in points allowed and second to last in the league in total sacks.
