Sergio Ramos has starred for Real Madrid F.C. for the majority of his professional career, and he has no intention of leaving.

Per ABC, the Spaniard is reportedly meeting with club president Florentino Perez before Easter in order to hash out the terms of a new contract. Ramos' contract with Real Madrid officially ends on June 30, at which point he is permitted to speak with other teams. However, the veteran center back has made it known he wants to remain with the club.

Perez reportedly feels the same, which means a new deal will ultimately come down to money. The report stated both sides are in agreement on two years as the optimum length. Nonetheless, Ramos is apparently unwilling to take a 10 percent pay cut.

Despite the disagreement over wages, it seems a matter of time before the two sides reach an accord. Ramos is unquestionably a Real Madrid legend, and he is still playing at a high level just shy of his 35th birthday.

Ramos has made the FIFA World IX in every season dating back to 2011. He has twice been named UEFA's Best Defender, earning league honors in that category five times.

The fiery Real Madrid star ranks in the 99th percentile among defenders in non-penalty expected goals, and he also ranks in the 88th percentile in shot-creating actions.

Of course, the individual numbers are but a mere snapshot of Sergio Ramos' career in Madrid, one that includes five La Liga championships and four Champions League titles.

Ramos and Real Madrid have experienced a wonderful partnership. All sides point to that partnership continuing, pending a financial agreement.
