Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers revealed his engagement when he received his 3rd NFL MVP earlier this month. His fiancee Shailene Woodley, while appearing on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” confirmed the big news and admitted they had been engaged for quite some time now.

“Yes, we are engaged,” Woodley said of Rodgers. “We are engaged. But for us, it’s not new news, you know, so it’s kind of funny. Everybody right now is freaking out over it and we’re like, ‘Yeah, we’ve been engaged for a while.’”

While discussing her relationship with the Packers star, the Hollywood actress even jokingly admitted that she never thought she would “marry someone who throws balls.” The remark drew a big laugh from Jimmy Fallon as Woodley continued her sarcastic spiel about Rodgers affinity with balls.

“He’s first off just a wonderful, incredible human being, but I never thought I’d be engaged to somebody who threw balls for a living,” Woodley said. “Like I never thought as a little girl, I was like, ‘Yeah, when I grow up, I’m going to marry someone who throws balls, yeah!’ But he’s really just so good at it.”

The 29-year old Emmy award nominee admitted she had never attended a football game in her life and hasn't seen her soon-to-be husband in action live due to COVID-19 restraints. Furthermore, while she knew Rodgers as an NFL player, Woodley revealed that didn't know much about the 37-year old's career.

While she admitted that she's doing her best to learn more about Aaron Rodgers' numerous accolades on the gridiron, The Fault In Our Stars lead will still need to do a lot of deep diving, considering the extensive list of accomplishments that the future Hall of Famer has amassed throughout his 16-year NFL career.
