Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne release date finally revealed by Atlus. The Japanese Role-Playing Game (JRPG) cult classic HD Remaster will be arriving on the West for Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and the Nintendo Switch on May 25, 2021.

SHIN MEGAMI TENSEI 3: NOCTURNE RELEASE DATE AND DETAILS

The Shin Megami Tensei (SMT) franchise stands as one of the most recognizable JRPG series to ever make it to the west. However, not a lot of players have had the chance to experience their older titles. Hence, Atlus decided to create an HD Remaster for the JRPG classic Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne game. Nintendo announced the game on the July 20, 2020 Nintendo Direct Mini, alongside Shin Megami Tensei V. At the time, we only knew that the game will be coming to the Nintendo Switch. Later on, we confirmed that the game will be coming to the PlayStation 4 and Windows PC as well.

Now, the highly-anticipated JRPG title has a release date for fans in the West. The game previously launched for the Japanese, Chinese, and Korean audiences last October for the PS4 and Switch. Now, PC, Switch, and PS4 owners will get to play the game in English when Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne arrives on May 25, 2021. Meanwhile, Atlus' other highly-anticipated title, SMT V, still has no clear release date aside from “sometime in 2021.”

The HD Remaster will come with a new “Merciful” difficulty, reducing the challenge significantly for fans who just want to experience the story. It also has improved graphics and a remastered script. The Asian release of the game also came with the “Maniax Pack” downloadable content item launched alongside the game, which adds the character, Dante, from Capcom's Devil May Cry series as a guest character. Dante takes Raidou Kuzunoha's place in the Maniax Pack. Raidou also comes from another game series of Atlus called Shin Megami Tensei Devil Summoner.
