Tevin Biles-Thomas, the brother of superstar Simone Biles, is now set to receive a new trial in his murder case after a jury finished up deliberations with a mistrial.

For those unaware, Tevin Biles-Thomas is alleged to have shot three people on New Year’s Eve in 2018.

Part of the mistrial centered around paperwork the jury received, in which the defense and prosecutors argued over if it should be allowed in evidence, which painted the shooting as a possible act of self-defense.

The original charges against Biles-Thomas were massive. The prosecution chaged Tevin Biles-Thomas with six counts of murder, three counts of voluntary manslaughter, five counts of felonious assault and one count of perjury.

Simone Biles, who outside of relation has no direct connection to this story’s nefarious side, has been in the news on her own recently. For her, though, it’s because she’s such a talented athlete it appears the game is attempting to rig it so have a chance by outlawing moves only she can perform.

This would be outlawing dunks in the NBA so the not athletic have a better chance or some nonsense. Let the gifted shine.

Circling back to Tevin Biles-Thoma, at the time of this writing, it is not yet known how the self-defense paperwork ended up in jurors’ hands.
