Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons made a bold promise that he would start shooting more from deep in the bubble. He backed up his words by draining one in one of the Sixers' scrimmage games.

However, in the seeding games so far, Simmons has been hesitant to test out his newfound stroke. While this has concerned some fans, head coach Brett Brown believes that this is not an issue.

Per Ky Carlin of USA Today, Brown shared that he has looked at some of his team's video footage. From his observation, Simmons has indeed been presented with several opportunities to launch one from deep; however, that doesn't mean there's an issue with the mentality of the Sixers star.

“I do concede when it’s blatantly obvious and he’s spaced out, for instance, we’re posting Joel or Al Horford as an example, and Jo ends up down in that low zone, we can’t have four people on the perimeter,” the Sixers coach explained.

“So there are times where he could grab a corner, sometimes no, sometimes he can be behind a backboard and playing in that dunker spot as I call it, but it’s old news to me, to be truthful. I feel like his head is in a good place to shoot it and produce, but I don’t see it as trepidation or lack of confidence. I don’t see it like that.”

Be as it may, Ben Simmons confidently shooting from deep is undoubtedly something to watch out for. With that said, Sixers fans should have a lot to be excited about in the coming years.
