Philadelphia 76ers head coach Brett Brown believes Sixers star Ben Simmons can follow the path which Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo has taken in terms of developing his jump shot year by year and thus becoming more dominant.

Having a reliable jumper is pretty much the only thing missing from Simmons' game. The Sixers' floor general is a one-man fastbreak with the ball in his hands, he rebounds well and plays high-level defense for 48 minutes.

Now, Brown and the Sixers are just waiting for Simmons to take that next step like Giannis did and develop a jump shot. It got Antetokounmpo an MVP award, so Brown can only imagine what a jump shot would do for Simmons.

“His ability to find people, his vision line at 6-foot-10 is different than 6-foot-2 guards,” Brown said, via ESPN. “There's nobody in the league with breakaway speed any faster. Giannis and Ben Simmons, you are going to look at two amazing athletes … that have changed the game that aren't American.

“His better days are completely yet to come once he conquers a little bit of Giannis' path of the shot and so on, his future is just … there's no ceiling, he can be what he wants to be.”

Simmons has appeared in 54 games for the Sixers this season. He’s averaging 16.7 points, 7.8 rebounds and 8.2 assists while shooting 58.5 percent from the field. Just like last season, all of Simmons' shot come at the basket.

The Sixers are 35-22 on the season. They are in fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

For the Sixers to defeat Giannis and the Bucks in the playoffs, Simmons will have to find a way to become a threat from the perimeter.
