Charles Barkley picks Sixers to win 2020 title
NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley is sticking with his prediction that the Sixers are going to win the 2020 title.
The Sixers have one of the best starting lineups in the NBA. Philly will start Ben Simmons, Josh Richardson, Tobias Harris, Al Horford and Joel Embiid. That’s a lethal starting unit that no one in the NBA wants to see, especially in the playoffs.
Charles Barkley: “I’ve already picked the 76ers to win the championship next season.”

Philly did lose Jimmy Butler and JJ Redick this summer, but the additions of Richardson and Horford lessened the blow of those losses.
As is the case every season, the Sixers will go as far as Simmons and Embiid can take them. Philly gave Simmons a five-year, $170 million extension this summer. A few videos have come out in the summer showing Simmons shooting jump shots. That’s a good sign for the Sixers, but until we see the lefty shoot those jumpers in real games, we can’t overreact to workout videos.
Embiid has already established himself as one of the best centers in the NBA. Health is really the own issue with Joel.
Now that Kawhi Leonard is in the Western Conference, many pundits see the Sixers and Milwaukee Bucks meeting in the 2020 Eastern Conference Finals. Charles Barkley is sticking with his Sixers to come out of the East and ultimately win the whole thing.
