The Philadelphia 76ers have denied any buyout possibilities for center Jahlil Okafor, citing they don't want to give him away for free. As they keep exploring potential trades, the impending movement of Phoenix Suns estranged point guard Eric Bledsoe could open up avenues to move the 21-year-old big man, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Bledsoe's trade could free up cap space or a roster spot, which can be used to acquire Okafor, who has racked up an unconscious amount of healthy DNPs since he fell out of favor with coach Brett Brown last season.

Okafor has developed a reputation of being a defensive liability while having a spotty history when it comes to injuries, but his biggest problem at the moment is his lack of sample size.

The Duke standout has only played in one of the eight games the Sixers have played this season, registering 10 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks through 22 minutes while starter Joel Embiid sat the latter end of a back-to-back.

Jahlil Okafor will have an adjustment period to deal with, as he hasn't garnered extended playing time, sometimes for weeks in a row — making this one of the biggest concerns for teams trying to acquire him.

By moving Eric Bledsoe, it could create the perfect opportunity for a team to pounce on a potential low-risk, high-reward situation — but only if the Sixers are willing to part ways with their former third overall pick for a less-than-desired return.

Despite a plummeting stock, Okafor averaged 17.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game in his rookie season with the team, starting in 48 of 53 games played through 2015-16.
