Philadelphia 76ers guard James Harden reached an impressive milestone tonight in the Sixers 111-101 victory over the Dallas Mavericks. A streak not seen since Allen Iverson's days in Philadelphia.

According to Sixers Stats, tonight's 24 points and 12 assists by James Harden were enough to rack up his third straight game with at least 20 points and 10 assists. Those three games match a streak set by former Sixers guard Allen Iverson, who managed to string together three games in 2005 with at least 20 points and 10 assists.  The Sixers have won two out of three games during that stretch, only falling to the Denver Nuggets by four points. Harden would also add seven rebounds, two steals, and a block to his box score on the night.

Iverson was a staple in Philadelphia during the 2000s and made a name for himself as a highly efficient passer and excellent scorer from the point guard position. Since Iverson's departure, the organization has struggled to find its next “face of the franchise”, and hopes that Joel Embiid and James Harden have the success to replicate that kind of respect on Broad Street.

Harden has struggled of late with his assertiveness on offense and finding his rhythm within the Sixers gameplan. This week's games are hopefully a sign of good things to come for Harden, as the 43-26 Sixers are still trailing the Miami Heat and Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA's Eastern Conference standings. With the playoffs looming just around the corner, this would be a great time for James Harden and the rest of the Sixers to find that rhythm.
