James Harden was forced to exit Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers after the Sixers superstar suffered what appeared to be some sort of leg injury.

Harden, who sat out Monday's 113-106 win against the Miami Heat, was seen writhing in pain on the floor grabbing onto his right leg late in the third quarter of Wednesday's contest (h/t ClutchPoints on Twitter):

It wasn't long after before Harden headed back to the Sixers locker room to have his injury checked:

The good news here is that Harden was able to return to the court and he checked back in at the mid-way point of the fourth period. He helped seal the deal for Philly in this one as they took down a LeBron James-less Lakers side, 126-121.

Harden finished with 24 points, seven boards, seven assists, and three turnovers in 36 minutes of action. Joel Embiid (30), Tyrese Maxey (24), and Tobias Harris (20) all eclipsed the 20-point mark for the Sixers.

We hope this isn't anything serious, but Harden will likely have this injury looked at after the game. The Sixers get Thursday off before returning to action against the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday. Right now, it's anyone's guess if the former league MVP will show up on the injury report for that contest.
