Philadelphia 76ers star center Joel Embiid has no problem discussing things that bother him or don't make sense.

That personality trait would be no different if his situation turned out like it did for Jahlil Okafor, who was traded from the 76ers to the Brooklyn Nets. In fact, Embiid knows exactly how he would've reacted if a similar thing that happened to Okafor happened to him, per Ramona Shelburne of ESPN.

“With Jahlil, I really appreciate that he didn't want to cause a scene,” he says. “If it was me, I feel like I would have lost it. I don't know if I could have handled it.”

Embiid definitely comes off as not only an emotional basketball player, but also an emotional human being. He knows he has talent and that he deserves to be playing on the basketball court.

Okafor likely knew that about himself, too, but he seems to have a more quiet personality. So he never made too much noise about his situation.

But their circumstances are quite different. Embiid was injured to start his career, and Okafor didn't play the way it takes to be successful at his position in the modern NBA.

Embiid likely would have taken to Twitter every day talking about how he needed to play or he wanted out or who knows. It's important that he understands his own emotional well-being, and it looks like he does.

Although, it would have been great theater to see just how Embiid would've reacted if a situation like Okafor's happened to him.
