Ben Simmons may have reported back to the Philadelphia 76ers‘ camp, but it doesn't mean the Sixers' problems involving their All-Star guard are finally going to end.

The situation has become so troublesome, it has hogged most of the attention throughout the Sixers' offseason. NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal recognizes this dilemma. So, in an episode of The Big Podcast, Shaq didn't pull his punches when addressing the Simmons saga.

“Let’s just talk business first. You miss the season or whatever, that can cost you up to $8 million. You buy a house for $15 million, you’ve got $7 million left… So if he wants to keep his notes up on the $15 million house, you better take your a** to work.”

The Sixers have been trying to appease Ben Simmons' demand in wanting a way out of Philadelphia. However, they've been rumored to be asking for a crazy return from teams.

Simmons has been notorious for his shooting, but it all peaked when he passed up an open dunk in the NBA playoffs against the Atlanta Hawks. The ensuing post-game remarks from Doc Rivers and Joel Embiid were supposedly the final straw.

O'Neal, though, believes the Sixers guard could have avoided all these if he had been working on his shot. The Hall of Famer even used Lonzo Ball as an example.

“[Ball's] shooting is a testament to somebody working on their jumper. Lonzo Ball is shooting that thing and he looks good shooting that thing.”

No one's expecting Ben Simmons to make it rain for the Sixers from downtown. However, many believe that the proper amount of work could at least make him a respectable shooter from mid-range or charity stripe.
