Ben Simmons informed the Philadelphia 76ers in person during a meeting in Los Angeles that he wants out and doesn't plan to play for the Sixers again.

According to Chris Broussard of “First Things First,” Simmons is willing to play for any of the other 29 teams except the Sixers.

This should be taken with a grain of salt considering Broussard's history of being wildly inaccurate or just flat out wrong with some of his reporting. While it seems obvious that Simmons wants a trade away from the Sixers, would he really play anywhere?

Who could forget when Broussard said Tristan Thompson and the Cleveland Cavaliers had agreed on a three-year, $53 million deal only to have to go on ESPN and correct that a deal wasn't even in place?

How about the time Kawhi Leonard signed with the Los Angeles Clippers (who he is still with) but Broussard reported in the lead up to the decision that the Clippers were out of the running.

And we can not go without mentioning his Russell Westbrook to the Detroit Pistons hot take that never came to fruition.

Point is, Simmons clearly wants to be done with the 76ers but whether or not that means being fine with going to any of the other 29 teams in the league is another story.

The Sixers are now firmly in the spotlight as they will have to waffle on what to do and how to roll out the blueprint that they decide on. Simmons has put them in check and it's Philly's turn on the chessboard.
