Paris Saint-German superstar Neymar Jr. has accused a Marseille defender of hurling racist remarks his way during Sunday's game in Paris.

Neymar was at the center of a massive brawl that resulted in a number of red cards, with the Brazilian sensation among those dismissed from the contest.

Neymar was visibly upset with the opponent and the referees during the altercation and in the aftermath. He explained his displeasure on Twitter.

The 28-year-old tweeted Marseille defender Alvaro Gonzalez called him a “monkey mother******,” also asking for governing bodies to look into Gonzalez's behavior.

The VAR system showed Neymar clearly striking Gonzalez in the back of the head, resulting in a red card and expulsion.

But Neymar pleaded his case to the fourth official, saying he was the target of racial epithets from Gonzalez.

Twitter users attempted to uncover the exact moment in question, though one particular run-in between Neymar and Gonzalez appears pretty damning.

This is not the first time Gonzalez has been accused of misconduct. He also had an encounter with Barcelona star Lionel Messi while at Espanyol last year.

Neymar continued to vent after the game, saying he wished he had gotten in Gonzalez's face to address him even more directly.

Marseille boss Adore Villas Boras also reacted to the alleged incident after the game (via The Sun):

Marseille boss Adore Villas-Boas has said he is not entirely sure but he was also quick to state that “racism is unacceptable in football.”

It seems likely Ligue 1 and FIFA will look into the events preceding the final whistle.
