The San Antonio Spurs got off to a solid start in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals against the Golden State Warriors, leading by as many as six points early in the second quarter. Without their MVP in Kawhi Leonard, the Spurs needed contributions from every player who took the court, and they got that from Manu Ginobili and David Lee early.

Unfortunately for the Spurs, Lee came down with an apparent knee injury with about three minutes to go in the first quarter on an and-1 opportunity while being fouled by Warriors' forward Draymond Green. Lee immediately limped to the basket stanchion, where he was helped off the court and onto a wheelchair that took him back to the locker room.

Although Lee made the basket, the foul was ruled a common foul and not a flagrant one, meaning if Lee was not able to shoot the free throw, he would not be able to return to the game. Therefore, Lee was ruled out for the remainder of the game. Lee finished with four points in just two minutes of action.
