Boston Celtics head coach Brad Stevens has tremendous respect for veteran point guard Tony Parker, who he will face tonight when his team takes on the San Antonio Spurs, still led by their longtime French floor general.

The Celtics helmsman took it even further, addressing how he's even made Parker part of instructional videos of how to run one of the game's most essential plays.

“Everybody has created a Tony Parker video of how he runs pick and rolls and makes reads off pick-and-rolls for young guards forever,” said Stevens, according to Jay King of MassLive.

For some, Parker has been making reads off pick-and-roll scenarios before they started to play high school basketball, giving him plenty of years of experience and a derivate mastery at his craft while quarterbacking the Spurs' offense.

Slowed by age and injuries, the 35-year-old has managed to still be the go-to choice in Gregg Popovich's starting lineup, a clear sign that his knowledge of this offense and ability to dissect and make the right play is of tremendous value to this Spurs organization.

The Celtics will have a crack at Parker and the Spurs, who have won two in a row and now await the impending return of star forward Kawhi Leonard, potentially suiting up for his season debut against the Phoenix Suns this weekend.
