According to Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News, San Antonio Spurs' combo guard Derrick White is listed as probable in tonight's road game against the Miami Heat. White suffered a heel injury before the regular season started.

“Guard Derrick White could make his season debut against the Heat on Wednesday in Miami after the Spurs listed him as probable in their injury report released Tuesday night.

White has been sidelined since he tore a ligament in his foot late in the preseason. He was slated to start at point guard after Dejounte Murray suffered a season-ending knee injury in the preseason.”

The 6-foot-5 point guard out of Colorado posted averages of 9.3 points and 2.0 assists during the Spurs' preseason games this year. White appeared to be comfortable in running the plays for the team before unfortunately sustaining the injury in a game against the Atlanta Hawks.

The 24-year old White is another backcourt loss for the already-depleted Spurs. Promising playmaker Dejounte Murray tore his ACL in another preseason game, while rookie point guard Lonnie Walker IV is still recuperating from a torn meniscus.

Still, head coach Gregg Popovich and the Spurs have recently found ways to win, as they always do. They are standing in 6-3 win-loss card behind the eye-popping numbers of new acquisition DeMar DeRozan, who is leading the team in assists with 6.7.

Even so, White's 3-and-D style of game would be a solid addition for the Spurs. Despite not producing big numbers in terms of assists, White has been steady in setting up the team's half-court sets.
