The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off a big win, but linebacker Vincenzo Williams is about to take all the limelight away from that positive with a rather polarizing claim.

According to Vincenzo Williams, the Steelers are vegan.

(Audible gasp)

“Steelers don’t do beef,” Williams wrote. “We’re vegan.”

For what it is worth, if you want to read between the lines a bit, this message is probably directed towards receiver Martavis Bryant, who has reportedly demanded a trade.

Sources: Steelers playmaking WR Martavis Bryant recently requested a trade. His teammates and coaches are well aware that he’s unhappy,” wrote NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

On Monday morning, Bryant was nowhere to be found at the team meeting. His agent said he was sick and went to the doctor. This is after Bryant posted — and then deleted — a not so subtle shot at a teammate:

“JuJu is no where near better than me, fool,” Bryant said (and then deleted). “All they need to do is give me what I want and y’all can have JuJu and whoever else.”

No one knows if the linebacker is really going after the receiver on the mean streets of Twitter. It does beg for a question to be asked: If you’re a Steelers fan, would you rather your players be “subbing” each other on social media, or for them all to be vegan?

I have nothing against people who are vegan. You do you, kind sir or madam. I will be over here eating all the yucks and bad stuff in the world. Although, I do guess it is worth noting that I am fat.

You win again, vegans.

Football … or something.
