Georgia Bulldogs product George Pickens had no idea which team would pick him the 2022 NFL Draft. With that said, he's hyped to go to the Pittsburgh Steelers and pair up with Kenny Pickett.

The Steelers selected Pickens with the 52nd pick of the draft, ending a long wait for the wideout. Naturally, he's excited to play alongside his fellow newcomer in Pickett, whom Pittsburgh got with the 20th overall pick in the first round to address their QB situation.

“Actually, I didn't have a clue which team … people trade up, but I'm just glad to be a Steeler,” Pickens said in a conference call with reporters after he was drafted, per Brian Batko of Post-Gazette.

“Everything happens for a reason, so that’s also a blessing for Kenny to go last night and for me to go today.”

As reported earlier, George Pickens has the potential to be one of the best wide receivers in the class. He has the necessary physical tools to succeed in the NFL, thanks to his great combination of strength, speed and ability to run clean routes and cuts.

His attitude is a major question concern among NFL teams, but clearly, the Steelers seem confident they can get the best out of their new wideout as they pair him with a fellow rookie quarterback.

It remains to be seen how the Steelers will utilize Pickens, but fans got to be excited with their rookie class this year.
