Pittsburgh Steelers fan and popular golf influencer Paige Spiranac already made her thoughts about Ben Roethlisberger's retirement known earlier in the season. With Big Ben struggling, she knows very well it's time for him to step down.

Still, when Roethlisberger implied that the Week 17 Monday Night Football showdown with the Cleveland Browns would be his final home game, Spiranac couldn't help but still feel some sadness about it. Of course her opinion doesn't change that the veteran QB should call it a career, but the 28-year-old knows as well that Roethlisberger has done a lot for the franchise.

After she was asked for her reaction on Roethlisberger's likely final game at Heinz Field, Spiranac has the perfect description to it: “bittersweet.”

Like Paige Spiranac, that is probably what most Steelers fans are thinking about Ben Roethlisberger's impending retirement.

At 39 years old with two Super Bowls, Big Ben certainly has nothing left to prove. His decline is clear, with the Steelers struggling to string wins together amid their offensive woes.

While the 2021 season was undoubtedly not what they imagined it would be, it doesn't mean that Roethlisberger doesn't deserve all the praise he is getting. As his Steelers teammate JuJu Smith-Schuster said prior to Monday's game with the Browns, he is one of the best NFL QBs in the history of the NFL — and nothing can change that.
